The International Journal of Psychology and Educational Studies (IJPES) is an international, peer reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing research in educational psychology while also publishing high quality scholarship across the broader field of educational sciences. The journal publishes original empirical, theoretical, methodological, and review studies that contribute to understanding learning, motivation, development, teaching, assessment, and human behavior in educational contexts.
IJPES aims to disseminate rigorous and innovative research that informs educational theory, research, policy, and practice. The journal welcomes qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, experimental, longitudinal, meta analytic, and systematic review studies that demonstrate strong theoretical foundations, methodological rigor, and meaningful implications for educational research and practice.
The primary focus of the journal is educational psychology, including motivation, emotion, self regulated learning, cognitive and metacognitive processes, student engagement, well being, academic achievement, and learning and development. The journal also welcomes high quality research in curriculum and instruction, teacher education and professional development, educational assessment and measurement, educational technology, discipline based education research, counseling, inclusive education, educational leadership, educational administration, and other areas of educational sciences that contribute to improving educational research and practice.
The journal serves researchers, academics, teacher educators, psychologists, educational practitioners, policy makers, and graduate students interested in psychology, education, and interdisciplinary research related to teaching and learning.
IJPES publishes original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, meta analyses, methodological studies, and theoretical papers. Submitted manuscripts must be original, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another journal. Manuscripts should make a clear and significant contribution to educational theory, research, policy, or practice and fall within the journal's aims and scope.
All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by a double blind peer review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal's scope. All manuscripts must comply with the journal's publication ethics and authorship policies.
The International Journal of Psychology and Educational Studies (IJPES) has introduced its Online First publication system.
Articles that have completed all review and production processes will be published online before assignment to a regular issue. Each article will receive its final DOI and will be fully citable upon publication.
Online First articles will later be assigned to a regular issue without any change to their DOI.
